To become an iDeal Cardholder, we ask you to submit your name, email address, mobile number, gender and birthdate. This information is required to activate your iDeal Card.
We may ask cardholders for information through questionnaires, surveys and preferences request. Information obtained will be used to develop "iDeal Offers" that may be of interest to our cardholders. Occasionally, an iDeal Card participating merchant may offer additional incentives in exchange for filling out a survey.
"iDeal Card participating merchants send us transaction data electronically through the use of point of sale terminals and other means. This facilitates the instant update in our database so that cardholder's accounts are always current and allows us to develop promotions based on your preferences. We occasionally share transaction data with our merchants to confirm that the transaction was not fraudulent and was processed correctly.
We collect and share aggregated data regarding our cardholders. This data does not contain personally identifying information such as name or email address. As a general rule we do not share your personally identifying information with our merhchants or any other party except for the purpose of credit card authorization, when required by law or if fraudulent activity is suspected. However, aggregated data from our cardholders is shared with iDeal Card participating merchants. For example, a merchant may choose to design a promotion for only our male or female cardholders.
iDeal Card occasionally must contact cardholders by mail, email, text messaging, and by telephone for support and to verify transaction data. Our merchants are not provided with the information we collect to contact you directly.
The data you provide to idealcard.com is protected to ensure both the privacy and authenticity of your data as it travels across the internet. Remember to keep your account information and password private and secure; do not share it with anyone.
If you do not want to receive email or text messages from iDeal Card letting you know about offers from Local Merchants, then you must cancel your iDeal Card account. To cancel your account, log in to your account from a desktop and select "Cancel My Account" in the My Profile section. From a mobile device, log in to your account and press Navigation, then My Profile, then "Cancel My Account". To change, update or correct account information, log in and select "Edit My Profile" in the Account Services section.
